MLK weekend

On January 13 Henry's Grandma, Pops, Aunt Laurie, and Uncle Scott came to visit for Grandma Mary's birthday. Henry absolutely loves family, and he was spoiled by all the love and attention. He even called Mary "GG" (for great-grandma) for the first time. As always, we exchanged Christmas gifts with Grandma and Pops. Henry's main gift was his Thomas air bed, which he got early so he could use it over Thanksgiving, but he also got some trains, Thomas pajamas and other goodies. It has been so much fun over the past month to watch Henry get excited over gifts. He loves opening them and seeing others open theirs.

On Saturday morning Pops and Grandma took us to Waffle House for Henry's favorite breakfast. Once again, he dove right in and ate all but 5 bites of his waffle (which Mommy was glad to eat, since she'd had granola at home). We spent the afternoon watching basketball, getting exercise, and shopping for and playing with those aforementioned trains! I'll let you guess Henry's favorite part. Saturday night we stayed in and ordered lots of Chinese food. On Sunday morning everyone was off to their respective homes with promises to see each other soon.
