Thy Kingdom come

Though I hope your thoughts about giving will continue throughout 2013 and beyond, today is my final post for Compassion's #ItsAboutGiving campaign. As of today, only $532 has been raised toward our $20,000 goal. However, I still believe we can do this. In the next few days, over 2000 Compassion bloggers need to raise only $100 each.

So, this is my challenge to you. Could 5 of my readers donate $20 by selecting a gift from Compassion's gift catalog? You can contribute to these gifts and more:

Give a Christmas gift to a mom and her baby.
Care for a newborn's medical needs for an entire year.
Provide food and water to a family after a natural disaster.
Provide garden seeds for a family in Kenya.
Build a water reservoir for families in Ethiopia.

5 readers. $20. That's it.

It's not my intention to shame or guilt you into action. My hope, rather, is that my blog will bring awareness to real, constructive ways we can make earth a little more like heaven. I pray you will give only as you are led and not out of guilt, for the Spirit convicts, yet never condemns.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
(Matthew 6:10, KJV)
