It's time for Five Minute Friday! (It's a cheesy theme, but it actually fits exactly what I wanted to write about today.)

I have two beloveds in my house. The little one gave me an indescribably awesome Valentine yesterday with the gift of words.
I've been a word girl my whole life, and I don't think it's a coincidence that the Bible makes such a big deal about it.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Lord said, "Let there be...."
Then the word of the Lord came to him...
Hear the word of the Lord...
....you who tremble at the word of the Lord....
Words hold power. In fact, they are the only power. They foster goodness or evil. They create peace or war. And on and on.
Today they started tears and created immense joy where there had been none. Thank you, Henry. And thank you, God.

Awww. . . that is so beautiful. My 6 year old daughter gave me a valentine that made me cry as well. (Hello fellow Word Girl!) Here from FMF. Thank you for sharing. Love your site.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mary! I'll come see you too. :)
DeleteI love this! I also agree with you. Words have immense power. I am glad I stopped by today. Cheers, Shanae
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteA word is dead
ReplyDeletewhen it is said
Some say.
I say it just
begins to live
that day.

Love it, Mrs. Lytle!
DeleteTouching words said by a little boy with deep thoughts, who sometimes just doesn't know how to convey. But, one thing for sure he knows he can always count on his mommy (and daddy).
ReplyDeleteSo true. There's so much inside him.
DeleteOh, nooooooooooooooooooo! DICKINSON, DICKINSON, DICKINSON, DICKINSON, DICKINSON...100 times on the blackboard!!!
ReplyDeleteHahaha!
DeleteThe Word love language is a double-edged sword. They have the power to save and the power to destroy - but it can be oh, so beautiful, like the way your son used it! What a beautiful moment!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by! It means so much. :)
DeleteAnd I agree 100%.
